Lansing Rod & Gun was formed and incorporated in 1955 by a small group of local
hunters, fishermen, clay target shooters and concerned conservationists. The same interest and concern is still foremost in
our minds and we have evolved over the years to participate in such activities as:
Trapshooting
Rifle and Pistol shooting
Pheasant raising and release
Fish stocking
Stream improvement
Hunter Safety
Training Programs for bow and gun
Responsible gun ownership and safety for youth
A successful Walleye rearing and
stocking effort
Rod building and fly fishing seminars
Host facility for the NYS Pony Club events
College scholarship
fund for high school students
Charitable gifts to worthy causes
Community involvement
There are too many to
list here but we as a club take conservation seriously and promote many activities to stay involved.
