Happenings at the club .....

The Lansing Rod and Gun Club is known for good friends, good food and great targets. It is a great and diversified group of local sportsmen and sportswomen who provide relaxation, fun, shooting and conservation initiative opportunities to the people and the area.

If you would like to join the club and be a part of the fun, stop at the clubhouse and pick up an application for membership. You'll not regret it.

Rifle range gets a new look and improvement ....

Thanks to the efforts of Norm Faiola, Lou Jackson and Bob Domeke the rifle range has taken on a new look with the addition of a covered, stable and weather friendly two person shooting bench.

The range is capable of 300 yard targets. There is also a pistol range adjacent to the rifle range. The ranges are open to members and guests, accompanied by a member, at no cost. Safety is always to be observed and PLEASE stop in at the clubhouse to let someone know you will be using this fine facility.

A thanks is in order to these guys for finally walking the walk and getting something done to improve the range.....

Photos coming soon!  (Right Normie)

ROD & GUN NEWSLETTER .....

Due to the cost of stamps, paper and printing, the BOD is entertaining a suggestion which was brought up, to cut the high cost of mailing the newsletter. The newsletter is published for you, the members, to keep you informed about what is happening at the club, upcoming meeting dates, clambakes/BBQ's and work days. Suggestions for ideas to publish can be given to the club Secretary. Input please!

We would also like to offer those of you who are Internet connected, the opportunity to receive the newsletter by E-MAIL. If this is a good way for you to get it, please furnish the Secretary with you E-MAIL address. You can do this in person or by mailing the club at:    rodandgun@centralny.twcbc.com

==========================

Thanks to the efforts of the trap crew, the trap shooting program at he club has taken a definite upturn. Reports indicate that Sunday morning shooting has picked up dramatically with lots of old and new faces showing up, especially the ladies and kids who are joining the fun.

The trap program recently provided the money to buy a new computer for club use, which was needed. Nice goimng there gang. We are looking forward to a busy summer on the trap fields. Come on down and join the  fun.  Breakfast is available on Sunday mornings so you can eat, shoot and chat with friends.

Hope to see you there.
