It is with great sadness, for the first time since starting this site, that I have to post
sad news. A man who was one of the most respected, well liked, funniest and best shooters in his day has passed
into the mystic. He passed away at home on May 26, 2006 at age 89. John will always be remembered as a friend to all.
He and Eleanor never missed a shoot within 75 miles of home if it was at all possible for them to be there. He was always
interested in who was shooting well and had nothing but encouragement when he spoke. He will be missed by many and we all
wish him God's speed to next trap field, squad and post. He will bring the same joy with him that he left us with.
I met John about 35 years ago shooting skeet and am proud that he considered me worthy of his friendship.
John was a shaker and mover in trap circles for many years as a competitor and proponant of the sport. John won the New York
State Handicap championships in the early 70's which attests to his abilities.
Our hearts and thoughts are with Eleanor at this time who like John exemplifies everything good about
shooting and people. Eleanor is everyone's mom and will have support whenever she needs it.
So long my friend. My life is better through your friendship as are the lives of all who knew you.
